Origin of BioeCacao’s Ingredients

The origin of the cacao used to produce BioeCacao bars may vary depending on the quality of individual harvests and market availability, but BioeCacao’s commitment does not vary: only cacao and cocoa butter that are certified Organic and FairTrade are selected, always and only from Latin America. Each batch is carefully checked to guarantee aromatic and nutritional excellence.

In particular, the cacao mainly comes from Peru, but it can also come from Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, or Ecuador. The same goes for the cocoa butter, generally of Dominican origin, but sometimes Peruvian, Bolivian, or Ecuadorian.

Other ingredients also come from territories selected for their strong agricultural tradition:

  • Dates: Tunisia
  • Vanilla: Madagascar
  • Hazelnuts: Turkey

In these cases, the origin is currently stable and guaranteed.

A goal for BioeCacao is to be coherent. This represents a challenge in the world of changes in which we live, which often requires compromises. In the case of BioeCacao, they are accepted only within certain limits and always with the highest respect for quality and sustainability.
